Tallahassee, FL. – Members and friends of the Delta Kappa Omega Chapter paused to strengthen our sisterly relations by participating in a Spiritual Smorgasbord hosted by our Spiritual Outreach Committee….A Fruit of the Spirit Tea. We were eloquently and powerfully reminded through recitations and songs of praise respectively provided by Chapter members and our Pearls of Joy, that the gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are all needed in order to support the ideals and goals of our illustrious sorority’s New Dimensions of Service programs. In times like these, it is incumbent upon us to shower the world with these spiritual fruits to enhance our unbreakable bond of sisterhood as we continue to meet the physical, spiritual, and mental needs of those we serve.
Our successful and inspiring Fruit of the Spirit Tea culminated with a tree planting and dedication ceremony as a living tribute, honoring the committed life of our chapter’s Diamond Member, Mrs. Charlotte Diggs Griffin, whose vision lead to the chartering of our chapter on January 24, 1947. Mrs. Griffin has been an active and consummate member of our great sisterhood for seventy-seven years and continues to serve all mankind.
