TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The annual Western Dance is a signature fundraiser of the Delta Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. For over 30 years, this fundraiser has provided scholarships to talented young women and young men within the Tallahassee community. The community’s continued support of this event will enable the Delta Kappa Omega to provide scholarships for high-achieving students.
The 2017 Western Dance: Spurs & Pearls 1947 EDITION will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 9:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. at the North Florida Fairgrounds, 441 Paul Russell Road, Tallahassee, FL 32301. Tickets are $25. The night will include entertainment by LaCloteal & The Tribute Band, and DJ J. Baby. Join the ladies of Delta Kappa Omega adorned in your classic western attire. The event holds even more meaning this year as it commemorates the 70th anniversary of the creation of the Delta Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. For seven decades, the women of the chapter have served Leon County and surrounding areas with a spirit of excellence.
